To meet the needs of our members and ensure that Girl Scouting is available to every girl everywhere, Audubon Council is supported through a variety of resources:
Capital Area United Way provides critical support for the development of girls in the 10-parish area. Working together, we build community partnerships and provide hope for thousands of Northwest Louisiana citizens. Your contribution to your local United Way helps support Girl Scouts - Audubon Council and the members we serve.
Building today's girls into tomorrow's leaders takes strong partnerships, not only with girls and volunteers, but also with the individuals, corporations, foundations and other organizations that support us through funding our programs. We value our partners and the role they play in helping our council to make Girl Scouting available to every girl, everywhere.
Many corporations and employers have established matching gift programs that match the time and money you contribute to Audubon Council. Contact your personnel department to determine if they have a program and simply request a matching gift application and forward the completed form to Audubon Council. Honor the memory of a loved one, recognize an outstanding volunteer or just simply pay a tribute to someone on a memorable occasion. Your gift will be acknowledged with a letter notifying the recipient that a gift has been made in their honor.
Help prepare girls for the future by naming Girl Scouts - Audubon Council in your will. Planned gifts include charitable trusts, life insurance policies, provisions in wills and endowment gifts.
Besides financial support, their are many other ways that you can help. For example, you could donate professional services; supplies; airline mileage; meeting space; computers; professional workshop facilitators; renovations at Camp Marydale; sports equipment; cooking equipment; camp maintenance volunteers; janitorial supplies; TV/VCR, etc. Or you could donate something even more important - your time!
